
Martin Seeleib-Kaiser is Professor of Comparative Social Policy and Politics, Fellow of Green Templeton College. Martin was appointed Head of Department of Social Policy and Intervention in April 2011. He teaches on the graduate Masters degrees in the department and supervises DPhil students in his area of expertise. His research interests are focused on the politics of social policy.

Martin Seeleib-Kaiser has published widely on the politics of social policy, globalization and social policy,party politics and social policy, as well as welfare state transformations. His recent books include the edited volume Welfare State Transformations: Comparative Perspectives (2008) and the co-authored monograph Party Politics and Social Welfare (2008).
Before joining the University of Oxford in 2004, he has held appointments at Bremen University, Duke University, and the University of Bielefeld.
