
Joanna Davies is a Research Officer within the Social Disadvantage Research Centre (SDRC). She joined the centre in January 2010. Amongst other projects, Joanna is involved in the development of the indices of multiple deprivation for England. Her particular area of focus is on crime statistics at the small area level. Joanna is also currently working on a collaborative project with the University of St. Andrews to improve access to administrative data sources through the development of a national liaison service. She gained her undergraduate degree in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Liverpool in 2006, and in 2009 was awarded an MSc in Social Research Methods from the University of Bristol.
