Children of Austerity

children of austerity - OUP/Unicef

A new book out today looks at the impact of the 2008 global financial crisis on child poverty in rich countries. Co-edited by Brian Nolan, Professor of Social Policy here at DSPI, the volume contains in-depth analysis on the repercussions of the crisis, and asks how children in poverty can be better protected from future financial instabilities.

Published by UNICEF and Oxford University Press, this book brings together work from 16 research institutions from around the world. You can read more about the studies here, and find the book on OUP's site here
