Congratulations to Professor Frances Gardner, who has won this year’s Nan Tobler Award for Review of the Prevention Science Literature from the Society for Prevention Research.
The Nan Tobler Award for Review of the Prevention Science Literature is given to an individual or a team of individuals for contributions to the summarization or articulation of the empirical evidence relevant to prevention science. Professor Gardner's research includes questions of transportability of parenting interventions across cultures and countries, mechanisms of change, and the subgroups of families and children for whom these interventions are most effective. In the citation, the SPR praised her 'considerable impact on policy and practice.'
We are delighted to see Professor Gardner's work, along with that of her collaborators, recognised in this way.
