Today is World AIDS Day. Researchers in the Centre for Evidence-Based Intervention, including Professor Lucie Cluver, have long been involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Working alongside a range of partners, they seek out the evidence that demonstrates which interventions will have the greatest impact in turning back the tide of this disease.
Yesterday Lucie was in Johannesburg for the launch of UNICEF's Children and AIDS: 2017 Statistical Update. The report shows that the world will not meet the 2020 global targets for ending AIDS in children and adolescents, but there is a way forward.
