Comprehensive research findings on “Inequality and Prosperity in the Industrialized World” were presented by DSPI'a Professor Brian Nolan at a policy conference organized by Oxford Martin School and citi in London. The report was written by Professor Brian Nolan, Matteo Richiardi and Luis Valenzuela at University of Oxford in collaboration with citi researchers (download here).
The discussion highlighted the extent to which economic inequality has come centre-stage as a core concern across the rich countries of the OECD. The reports shows how generally income and wealth inequality has increased across these countries, and conference participants shared the concerns that this may be undermining social solidarity, trust and economic growth.
