beijing normal university

Congratulations from our Department to Robert Walker, who is taking up a new position as Professor in Social Policy and Development at Beijing Normal University under China's 'High Level Foreign Talents' programme. He will be working with postgraduate students and in a mentoring capacity with younger faculty as well as seeking to instigate institutional links and collaborations. He will continue with his ongoing research and also undertake a collaborative study on the experience of poverty in present day China. Robert's appointment begins on 15th October.

Robert looks forward to continuing his association with DSPI here in Oxford, as an associate fellow and professor emeritus, and through his ongoing supervision of his DPhil students. We wish him all the best as he begins his new role in China.
