The Department does not house a library, instead students have access to Oxford's world famous Bodleian Libraries, which house over 11 million printed items as well as providing access to 50,000 e-journals and a variety of material in other formats.
The main part of the Bodleian Libraries that DSPI students use is the Social Science Library, which is located on the ground floor of the Manor Road Social Science Building. The Social Science Library has books for loan on Sociology, Social Psychology, Politics, Development Studies and International Relations as well as social policy and social intervention. It also offers many research collections including over 500 current social science journals.
Study spaces are also available, including group discussion rooms, individual study carrels and graduate study rooms.
