Mary Nguyen is a candidate for the MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation. She is a graduate of Brown University, having graduated with honors in Health and Human Biology. Her senior thesis involved conducting a systematic review of the HIV epidemic in the Philippines and evaluating the role of religion in treatment and prevention efforts for HIV. During her undergraduate career, she worked at Narayana Health in India as a Cultural Vistas Fellow, which sparked her interest in social interventions and community healthcare needs.
Mary’s research interests are centered around access to healthcare for marginalized identities and communities within the United States. She is also interested in healthcare issues of Southeast Asian migrants and immigrants.
