My name is Zuyi Fang. I am a Swire Scholar. My academic interest centers around parenting interventions that address child abuse in children with special needs, especially developmental disabilities, and the transportation of effective parenting interventions from high-income countries to middle- or low- income areas.
Prior to joining DSPI, I was a systemic consultant in the New York State Government, offering consultation, therapeutic services and technical assistance to enhance the ability of the community to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I also worked part-timely with local NGOs and projects initiated by universities in New York to provide clinical services for children affected by developmental disabilities. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in services for children and families with complex behavioral and mental health needs from Columbia University in the City of New York.
