I hold a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in African Studies and Peace Studies.  Focusing on inclusive policymaking, I have experience in campus organizing and governance around inclusion and nondiscrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, documentation status, and socioeconomic status.  I worked in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation at the US Department of Health and Human Services on issues ranging from pay for success projects to place-based initiatives to youth homelessness and domestic violence prevention.  My research interests include the political economy of social policy, poverty, and US safety-net policies.
