I am an MPhil candidate in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation. Within this master programme, I chose the Policy Evaluation track, as I seek to understand which social policies work, how they work and which methods we can use to identify their effects. I would like expand on this by focussing my own research on innovation in policy evaluation. The department was particularly attractive to me because of the practical relevance of its research and the emphasis on methods training.

I hold a BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Global Challenges from Leiden University College The Hague, Netherlands. In my undergraduate studies, I focussed on issues of international development, governance and economics. At the Department for Social Policy and Intervention, I hope to build on my understanding of problems and difficulties in international development and learn to identify possible policy solutions.
