Nealay Vasavda is a graduate student reading for the MSc in Comparative Social Policy. He holds a BA. in Anthropology and Political Science from Union College in Schenectady, New York, where he wrote his undergraduate thesis on poverty and economic inequality in Silicon Valley.
Prior to coming to Oxford, he gained experience related to community organizing and public policy in Silicon Valley as well as legal and analytical experience at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
His academic interests include the impacts of globalization as it relates to economic nationalism and immigrant backlash in Western societies. He is also interested in access to higher education and new experiences of poverty in high-skilled populations.
