Having gained her undergraduate degree from the University of St. Andrews in the fields of Philosophy & Psychology, Rebecca has spent the last year working in the area of child and youth development in Canada. Her work involved leading educational programs and supporting children with exceptionalities and vulnerabilities. Currently, Rebecca is reading for the MSc in Comparative Social Policy at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention.
As an immigrant herself ,and someone who has personally benefitted from integration programs, Rebecca’s academic interest revolves around the comparative analysis of ethnic diversity, within welfare state systems, and the impact of multiculturalism on the social mobility of recent immigrants. Given the existing political climate across Europe and North America, and the recent refugee crisis, Rebecca hopes her work will offer relevant insights into on-going global issues.
