Alejandra Navarro is a MSc student in Evidence Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Political Science and Government from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and is a Generacion del Bicentenario scholarship holder, granted by the Peruvian government to outstanding young professionals. Her research has explored gender and political participation, as well as evidence-based policies for vulnerable populations, including LGBTIQ+ communities, indigenous communities and people living in rural areas. Alejandra is also interested in the politics of evidence-based policy making in low-and-middle-income countries, and implementation gaps.
Prior to her studies at Oxford, she worked two years as a social specialist for the Ministry of Education of Peru, during which time she participated in the writing of the National Policy on Higher Education and TVET that was passed in 2020.
