Attayah Douglas

Attayah is an international student from New Jersey, USA who is reading for the the MSc. in Comparative Social Policy. She received her BA in Education Studies from Brown University where she studied the history of the American education system and its policies. While studying she taught classes in English literature and media, and coordinated a mentorship program that provided research internships at Brown for girls from low-income homes.

Her work has influenced her interest in how social stratification affects students' educational experiences. Her research in CSP will examine school segregation in different countries and the potential to use social policies in housing, employment, and anti-poverty reform to create less disenfranchised school environments.
