Cheryl is currently reading Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation, with support from the Cybec Foundation.
Cheryl’s research focuses on interventions aimed at reducing violence against children, particularly those children who are in contact with child welfare systems (child protection, family-centred services, foster care and adoption). She is also interested in the effectiveness of trauma-informed care in child welfare and school settings, as well as associations between Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs) and health in later life.
In her professional life, Cheryl has worked as a management consultant in Australia supporting clients in the public and not-for profit sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Melbourne, with majors in Philosophy and Political Science.
