Christie van Tinteren

Originally from Cornwall, UK, Christie is taking the MSc in Comparative Social Policy and is a member of Lady Margaret Hall. Before this, he studied for a degree in Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), from which he graduated with first class honours. He is a founder of Cornwall Young Labour and former Labour Party Officer. Interested in labour market policy and industrial relations, he has been heavily involved in campaigning for the UVW and IWGB unions. Combining this focus with a further interest in environmental policy, his research will centre around the examination of the impacts and roles of social policy in addressing climate crises, decarbonisation, and industrial-change.
