Charlotte Haberstroh's research focuses on comparative political economy of education in Europe. In her doctoral dissertation she studied the politics of equal opportunities in education. She analysed the role of partisan governments in school choice reforms in France, England, and Sweden from 1980 to 2010. Her work seeks to clarify the political determinants of educational inequalities. In her present projects, she further explores the politics of redistribution, specifically of institutional reforms that seek to provide equal access to quality education.
