Postdoctoral Research Officer

Ohad Green, PhD, MSW, is a Social Worker and Post-Doctoral Research Officer in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention. His research areas are in the intersection between well-being, migration, and online interventions. His primary focus is families of temporary migrants - asylum seekers, refugees and migrant workers, whom he worked in the past at the “MESILA” aid organization.

In 2017, After winning the Haruv post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford, Ohad joined the Young Carers research group led by Prof. Lucie Cluver, and helped the team in different projects aimed to prevent violence against children. In 2018 he moved to the US (University of South Florida) in order to develop the CARE2 program - an online behavioural intervention which aims to reduce the sense of burden, depression and suicidal thoughts of care providers – mostly recent immigrants.  

In 2019 he returned to the Department of Social Policy and Intervention, and joined forces again with Prof. Cluver. Today he is leading the development of the Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) app – a self-led online version of the in-person parenting program.
