Joan Madia is a DPhil student at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention and member of Nuffield College, at the University of Oxford. He earned a MSc in Sociology and Social Research from the University of Trento, Italy. Previously he has worked at the Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies (FBK-IRVAPP) and the University of Trento. His research interests are Educational inequalities in comparative and longitudinal perspective, Social Mobility, Returns to Education, Policy Evaluation applying the Potential Outcome framework and Econometric methods.
Joan has joined Brian Nolan’s team as a part-time Research Assistant working on his Intergenerational Social Mobility project, together with Marii Paskov.
