Minho Lee is a DPhil student in Social Policy. He holds a MA in Public Policy at the Graduate School of Public Administraion, Seoul National University, MSc in Social Policy and Planning at London School of Economics, and BA in Social Policy at the University of Kent.
Minho’s doctoral research has particular interests in the reasons for, and patterns of, individuals’ preferences for social policy in South Korea, whose social welfare system has undergone an impressive change in both quantity and quality for the last two decades. It aims to identify significant, possibly region-specific, factors affecting individuals’ attitudes towards social policy in Korea, understand how the factors work, and see if certain patterns of reasoning appear as a result of the factors.
His research interests also include individuals' perception of, and experiences with, social policy, as well as drivers of the recent welfare state transformation in East Asian societies.
