Paula is an MSc Comparative Social Policy student with a particular interest in health policy as well as the social and political determinants of health. She is looking to pursue an academic research career in this field.
Previously, Paula completed a BSc in European Public Health from Maastricht University. In addition, she holds experience working with the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety of the European Commission in Brussels, where she supported the development of the proposal for a Regulation of Quality and Safety of Substances for Human Origins. She has also been involved in drug and addiction policy in Germany.
Her thesis will explore the international governance of social policy, particularly the integration of evidence into the policy-making process.
