Dr. Patty Leijten
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Patty Leijten works as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention and Wolfson College.
Her research on the effectiveness of the Incredible Years parenting intervention for socioeconomically disadvantaged families is funded by NIHR (PI Frances Gardner). This data synthesis study (i.e., individual family level meta-analysis) includes more than 1800 families across Europe and examines the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the Incredible Years parenting intervention for families with different child and parent characteristics.
Her research on identifying the essential components of parenting interventions is funded by UBS Optimus (Co-investigator; PI Frances Gardner). This systematic review project aims to identify which parenting intervention components are actually effective for reducing disruptive child behaviour and child maltreatment.
Patty also works as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam.
