Claudia is a DPhil Candidate the University of Oxford's Centre for Evidence Based Intervention. She is also working on an independent project funded by the European Commission that seeks to build support for evidence-based drug policy in China, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India. Before joining the department initially to pursue her MSc, Claudia worked as a research analyst with Harm Reduction International in London, UK, and held various consulting positions in Canada and Asia. Claudia obtained her MSc in Social Intervention from Oxford, where she researched predictors of sexual risk behaviour among young people in Kazakhstan, and her BA from York University.
Claudia's research investigates the risk and protective factors for condom use and injecting equipment sharing among female injecting drug users in Indonesia. This research is conducted in collaboration with Atma Jaya University and the Indonesian Drug User Network, and is supported by the Australian Injecting and Illicit Drug Users League, Asian Network of People Living with HIV, UNAIDS, and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
