Rosa von Gleichen
Rosa’s interdisciplinary research combines social policy and organizational sociology to study the determinants of family policy at the organizational level, comparing the United States and the United Kingdom. Her research examines the relevance of the welfare mix, variety of capitalism, and organizational decision-making on occupational family policies in knowledge-intensive industries, specifically institutions of higher education.
She also works as research coordinator (i.e. project initiator) at OxPolicy, the Oxford student think tank, leading a team of seven researchers in a project on class-differentiated challenges to work-family balance.
Further, Rosa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Cornell University, USA, and her joint Master’s of Law and Business from Bucerius Law School and WHU Business School, both in Germany. Rosa has also worked as project manager in market research for three years.
