I have worked for the Japanese Government for more than five years. My office in the Japanese Government is in charge of social policy such as decreasing the gender inequality or reducing the poverty problems specifically among children, taking advantage of the idea of evidence-based policymaking. Such background as the govermental official strongly encouraged me to specialise in social policy based on the evidence here at Oxford. Furthermore, as I studied general public policy in terms of theories last year in London, I'm hoping to combine such theoretical aspects of public policy with the expertise in social policy which would be gained through the study at Oxford.
