Alfonso Costa Jr. currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In his role, Alfonso is responsible for advising Secretary Ben Carson and overseeing all major policy decisions carried out by the Department.
Alfonso completed the M.Sc. in Comparative Social Policy in 2012, after having completed his undergraduate studies at Yale University in 2011 (B.A., Political Science with Distinction in the Major). He also recently earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2018, where his primary interests included the intersection of housing law and policy, real estate, poverty, and other social justice issues. .
