Ilka holds a BA in Political Science from Sciences Po (Aix-en-Provence), a joint Master's degree in Social Sciences, and a PhD in Sociology and Economics, both from the École Normale Supérieure de Paris.
With over a decade of academic experience, she has taught, conducted research, and served as a college advisor—always drawing inspiration from working with students. She has extensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods and has published widely on international migration. Her most recent work focuses on student migration to the UK.
Ilka decided to take on a more operational role when she became a mum. She thrives in EDI work because it allows her to combine her analytical skills with a strong commitment to social justice. She looks forward to contributing her data-driven mindset, energy, and dedication to the role.
