Yaxin is a DPhil student in Social Policy at Oxford whose research examines labour-market dynamics, with a particular focus on young people’s participation and the effects of contemporary trends on their subjective well-being. She holds a First-Class B.A. in Finance and Business from the University of Edinburgh and an MPA (Distinction) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

After graduating from high school, she established an education fund in her hometown that provides a sustainable platform for under-privileged students to complete their schooling. Her recent academic work includes contributing in 2022 to “Reimagining the Welfare State: Lifetime Equal Opportunity Endowment,” a project led by the LSE School of Public Policy; participating in 2023 in “The Impact of Labour-Market Power,” a collaborative study between LSE and the UK Competition and Markets Authority; and, in 2024, serving as a research fellow at the London think-tank Asia House, where she authored the report “Dual Drive: How Deeper Ties in Key Markets Can Power the Export Competitiveness of Made-in-China Electric Vehicles.”
