Aliyah Hurt is a policy lead at Google. As a Program Manager in Geo, she develops new policies, evaluates existing ones, and manages policy operations initiatives.
Prior to joining Google, Hurt worked at Deloitte as a Consultant, applying project management and policy evaluation to issues at the intersection of healthcare and technology for clients including the U.S. Navy, CDC, and VHA.
During her time at Oxford, Hurt served as Research Manager for OURSPACE, a DSPI project that became the first to investigate sexual violence on UK university campuses. She also completed her thesis, Meta-Analysis of the Risk Factors to Sexual Violence Perpetration Amongst U.S. Males.
Hurt was awarded her MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation in 2025. She also holds undergraduate degrees in Public Health and Political Science from Florida State University, where she graduated as a Social Science Scholar and received the J.R. Harding Award and Outstanding Senior Scholar recognition.
In addition to her work in technology policy, Hurt is a certified yoga instructor and founder of YOGAliyah, a fitness business offering yoga classes, private lessons, and studio consulting. She welcomes connecting with others on LinkedIn.
