Her current work focuses on data pooling for the development and validation of a psychometric construct for caregivers of children and adolescents. Her research interests include vulnerable and marginalised populations, violence prevention, innovative research methods, research ethics, and open science.

In addition to her role at GPI, Ellie also works as a research assistant in the Department of Security and Crime Science at University College London (UCL). In this role, she supports the development of a scoping review examining recent literature on policing and police-related research.

Prior to joining DSPI, Ellie contributed to projects on the spread of misinformation among young people (Utrecht University), school-based interventions for the development of morality in children (Loughborough University), and human rights violations in elderly care homes (Royal Holloway, University of London).

Ellie holds an MPhil in Criminological Research from the University of Cambridge, where she was supervised by Professor Manuel Eisner. She hopes to pursue doctoral studies in the near future.
