James Ward

James Ward is a MSc student in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation. Originally from San Diego California, James completed his BS in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA.

Safety & wellbeing are central themes to James’s research interests and work experience. Prior to joining the EBSIPE course, James oversaw Research & Evaluation for UCLA Residential Life, where he reported on students’ experiences of racial inequity, food insecurity, suicide ideation, and sense of safety & belonging for a population of 24,000 students. James has also interned for the United Nations OSC-SEA: Office of the Special Coordinator on Improving the UN Response to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse, the International Rescue Committee, and other non-profits focused on reducing labour and sex trafficking in the United States.
