Research Associate at the World Bank

Prior to becoming Research Associate and Social Scientist for the PREM Network on Gender & Development, Matthew Morton worked as researcher for the US Departments of Education and Health & Human Services, as well as Policy Evaluation Consultant for the European Commission. He has also work several year for the Jordan Youth Impact Study Project.

Matthew Morton holds a MSc. (2008) and DPhil. in Evidence-based Interventions (2011). In 2009 he was named “International Student of the Year” by the British Council for his work with the Youth Development Project (YDP).
 

Research

Matthew Morton's research interest are in the areas of youth development, gender-based violence, and evaluation research.

He is a member of the National Network for Youth (NN4Y) and has widely published on youth empowerment. His work on evaluation research is concerned with systmatic reviewing and the evaluation of complex social interventions.
