Noor focuses on Communication with special emphasis on: Training, Advocacy, Corporate Social Responsibility and Resource Mobilization. She holds a Master’s from Oxford in Comparative Social Policy and a Master’s in Public Administration from Cornell UniverÂsity. She received an undergraduate degree in Sociology from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai.
She began her career with – with Ashoka Innovators for the Public and ActionAid India - supporting social entrepreÂneurs launch their new ideas, and monitoring and evaluating community development projects in rural Maharashtra respectively. Later, she was involved in fundraising and research activities with organizations like the American India Foundation and World Wildlife Fund in the United States.
As the Senior Program Manager for Common Purpose, an international leadership development program, she co-launched the Common Purpose Mumbai chapter, and organized the course modules for Meridian- Senior Leadership Program. She also led the American Express Leadership Academy – a five day course for emerging leaders in the not-for-profit sector, in its first year. She also engaged in outreach and recruitment for DISHAA - the India UK leadership initiative supported by the Government of UK. She also worked with organizations like PATH, Rajiv Gandhi FoundaÂtion, and NCAER. Currently, she is working with BBC Media Action on behavior change communication project in Bihar focusing on maternal and child health.
