Petra is a Project & Administration Coordinator working with The Accelerate Team led by Professor Lucie Cluver. As part of the operational support team, focused on finance management and HR processes, Petra’s role ensures the smooth running of the research studies. She provides remote support for HEY BABY, a large-scale research study on adolescent mothers and their children in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. She also manages the administration of a subsidiary company of the University of Oxford that facilitates research studies in South Africa.Â
Petra has over 20 years’ experience of project coordination in non-profit organisations, media and education. She is passionate about the welfare of children and adolescents, and locally supports a charity working with young people experiencing homelessness. In Kenya she supports women in business, providing sustainable economic opportunities to a network of artisan enterprises.Â
