Nita is an MSc student in Evidence Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation at the University of Oxford on the Chevening Scholarship. She is also a Research Assistant on the Parenting in the Preschool System in Malaysia for the Global Parenting Initiative.

Originally from Laos, Nita graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Macalester College in the US in 2021. Her previous research experiences involved developing, testing, and implementing refugee mental health interventions for youth and families in the US. She came to this MSc programme to learn more about how to bridge the research-implementation gap and bring evidence-based research into the real world and into communities.

Nita hopes to pursue a DPhil (PhD) in the future to develop and implement mental health interventions for children and families in Laos, her home country.
